Our Alexa rank is relatively good (for a smal site like ours) which is flattering since alexa only counts Microsoft Windows users. 50% of fleege.com visitors are mac users. Furthermore our own ranking is not manipulated by own toolbars since we are not able to use toolbars on our macs.

Where can you find out more about Internet Website rankings, traffic and popularity lists? Alexa is defintely the number one tool. You can browse by category and even by language and country. Alexa's traffic rating is accurate when it comes to the high traffic sites. However, smaller sites at lower rankings may be ranking way higher than their actual traffic rank would suggest. This is simply by being visited unproportionally more by toolbar users than other sites of same traffic range. Just one tool bar on one computer visiting a site regularly can easily put a site in the mid six figures without much real traffic. What Alexa should do is eliminate the top 5-20 highest IP address visits. To get your own Alexa ranking displaying toolbar click on the top left alexa ranking button.
Another great site to watch search terms rankings is the famous Lycos top 50 searches list. http://50.lycos.com/
